Welcome to Mindful Images Photography! Our business consists of Andy Horstmanshoff, the photographer, and Kevin Cooper, the person who does everything else after an image has been taken. Andy's interest in photography had its beginnings in 1997, when he took photos of Comet Hale Bopp (featured in the Great Basin -- Washoe Valley Gallery). From there, it grew into a fun pastime, then a serious hobby, and finally a passionate vocation. The business -- Mindful Images Photography -- had its beginning in 2002. That year, Andy and Kevin shared some of their photos with friends and colleagues at two informal showings in Carson City and were pleasantly surprised at a very warm and enthusiastic response. This momentum was carried into 2003 with a 4-month exhibit at the Nevada State Legislature, a 3-month exhibit at the Nevada State Library and Archives, and a 2-month exhibit at the Brewery Arts Center, all in Carson City, Nevada.

Mindful Images is kicking off 2004 with the simultaneous launching of this website and a 1-month exhibit at the Great Basin Mine Watch. Although the website contains many of our favorite images, there are many that have not been included. So please check back often as we'll be rotating in new images on a frequent basis.
